Food & Nutrition
At Hessle Pre School Nursery we have a dedicated and highly experienced catering manager. We prepare all of our meals on site using locally sourced produce following Government recommendations with regards to healthy eating. Children attending the Nursery receive breakfast, a 2 course mid-day meal, morning snacks and afternoon tea. Water is freely available throughout the day.
Meal times are a very important part of the Nursery day as well as providing nourishment it is an important time to promote good table manners and personal and social skills.
Along with the nutritious meals and snacks the children also sample their home grown fruit and vegetables grown in the Little Shoots Gardening Club which they love as they can see how things grow from seedlings.
We also carry out plenty of baking activities with the children which they love and they will often bring home their creations to share with you.
